Besides its incredible history and heritage, Hanoi is legendary for its street food. So, pull up a plastic chair and prepare to get down and dirty with our list of three must-try street eats in Hanoi:
Banh Cuon Gia Truyen

One-stop shop for paper-thin steamed rice flour crêpes, stuffed with minced pork, shrimp, mushrooms and served with zingy dipping sauce. Less is most definitely more.

Bánh Mì 25

Mind the queues, there’s good reason locals and tourists line up to sample the nation’s favourite sandwich at this super-friendly kiosk: they’re yum. Order one for a snack, two if you’re hungry. Veggie options also available.
Quan An Ngon

Heaving Saigon spin-off serving street food in a faded mansion with leafy courtyard. Choose from one of several food stalls or from the cooked-to-order menu. If you don’t manage to book, go early to try your luck (before noon/6pm).
