Stay: Maalot

Zebra print, Taschen books and 17th-century frescoes – Maalot has all that and then some. This four-storey, 30-room eclectic boutique hotel is a hipster’s haven in Trevi, where cool birds flock to the G/F resto with its peacock-blue chesterfields and signature swizzles.
Eat: Retrobottega
Dark and sultry lab slash open kitchen where chefs Alessandro Miocchi and Giuseppe Lo Iudice push culinary boundaries on Roman cuisine. This ain’t your nonna’s kitchen – expect seasonality and creativity from the dynamic duo, who spend every Monday foraging forests for fresh goodies.
Drink: Enoteca L’Antidoto

A teeny-tiny enoteca tucked away off a Trastevere’s alley with three tables, five bar seats, and plenty of natural vino. Owners Valerio and Flaviano cater top wines and tasty food that changes with the seasons.

Spa: Zarina Beauty

The all-around pampering spot for manis, pedis, facials, and brazen Brazilians (or Boyzilians)! Luxe and lavish, expect first-class treatment and nothin’ less.
Shop: Libereria Tuba

The femme fatale of Rome, Tuba is a women-run bookshop, coffee shop and bar that hosts community events and workshops too. Open since 2007, the cafe serves great farm-to-table and fair trade options.
