Botanical Beaut: Four Seasons Hotel Singapore

Opened in 1994, the Four Seasons Hotel Singapore is a true icon of hospitality in the Lion City. And while this classic hotel continues to deliver on best-in-class service and top-notch luxury, it’s also ever-evolving with brand new offerings in wellness and F&B.

Location

Nestled along a tree-lined boulevard just behind Orchard Road, the Four Seasons Hotel Singapore is the perfect spot to launch your Lion City adventures from.

Shop and stroll your way down Orchard Road for some retail therapy, or immerse yourself in the lush green foliage of the Singapore Botanic Gardens just a 10-minute walk away.

For authentic local nibbles and eats, the popular Newton Food Centre is a quick 10 minute drive away – so you can get your Crazy Rich Asians and hawker centre food fix.

Rooms

Boulevard Room

White, colonial-style doors open to the plush guest rooms of the Four Seasons Hotel Singapore, which start at a spacious 49 sqm (527 sqft) and go up to 199 sqm (2,142 sqft) for the Presidential Suite.

All feature modern, contempo furnishings (with the guest rooms in soft tones of blue and green) with either king or queen-sized beds that you’ll literally sink into and made it incredibly difficult to get up from (sorry not sorry).

Tip: Be sure to customise your sleep further by choosing from the Four Seasons Hotel Singapore’s extensive pillow menu (delivered to your door at any time of day).

Trad Peranakan-style ceramic tiles on the walls add a sense of place while the floor-to-ceiling views of the city and green outdoors give you a bird’s eye view of the tropical landscape.

Dining

A huge breakfast spread (plus all-day dining) is served at One-Ninety restaurant, a botanical-themed mod-Asian brasserie on the ground floor that mixes Asian with Provencal cuisine.

Across the hall is One-Ninety Bar, an intimate space to enjoy your favourite tipples and/or afternoon tea sets under a backdrop of air plants and palm trees.

For classic Cantonese cuisine executed to perfection, head to Jiang-Nan Chun, where the star dishes include mesquite wood-roasted Peking Duck, double-boiled soups and dainty morsels of handmade dimsum.

Nobu Singapore

Then there’s Nobu, which needs no introduction. Replete with an outdoor Japanese garden (perfect for Insta-snaps), guests can enjoy Nobu’s most famous dishes like the Black Cod Miso, Toro Tartare with Caviar and Yellowtail Jalapeño.

Tip: Don’t miss the ever-popular Sunday brunch at Nobu – a stellar semi-buffet with unlimited sushi, sashimi, cold dishes and salads plus freshly cooked signature hot dishes and desserts. Free flow options available, too!

Wellness & Spa

Launched in 2023, the Four Seasons Hotel Singapore has a brand new wellness space on level three, including one of the most beautiful hotel gyms we’ve ever seen. Open 24/7, the bright and airy fitness centre feels more like a Gatsby-style solarium with 629 sqm (6,770 sqft) of workout space split into cardio, strength and stretching zones.

Gym

The hotel’s legendary Four Seasons Spa is also accessible from the 3/F, featuring facials, massages and body care treatments using Subtle Energies products. To refuel after, head to the Pool House for healthy and nutritious bites, many of which are plant-based.

Fancy a dip? The hotel has not one but two pools to choose from – an adults-only pool and jacuzzi on level three, or a family-friendly outdoor pool on the 20/F, with breezy cabanas, float toys and views of the city skyline to boot.

What else

Executive Club

The Executive Club on the 3/F across the Pool House is well worth getting access to and spending time in – besides the incredible a la carte menu of breakfast items including an amazing Chilli Crab Benedict, it’s the perfect spot to do some work and enjoy their all-day mini buffet of morning, afternoon and early evening bites and drinks. Hint: There’s even unlimited Irvins salted egg fish skin and potato chips…

Verdict

A true oasis in the Lion City, the Four Seasons Hotel Singapore is the perfect choice for wellness-minded travellers, especially those who appreciate a fully-equipped (and extremely aesthetic) gym, excellent spa and amazing rooftop pool.
