Bali’s Best Beach Clubs for Families at Christmas

November 15, 2018

Jetting off to Bali for the Holiday season and wondering where to spend Christmas and New Year? First, get your mitts on a copy of the LUXE Bali guide, crammed with priceless eat n’ drink recommendations; second, here's our skinny on Bali’s best beach clubs for families.

Potato Head

The boldest, brightest all-day drink, dine, play n’ shop p-leisure dome has truly proven itself more stud than spud, pulling in an all-ages crowd day through to night with its fam-friendly atmos, buzzy sundowners and party sessions headlined by the big-name global acts like Grace Jones, Mr Scruff and Disclosure. Although the Yuletide program has yet to be announced, Christmas is typically a fun-filled family affair kicking off on Christmas Eve; with an epic Christmas lunch on the day itself. ptthead.com/bali

La Laguna

This bucolic enclave with natural lagoon and picturesque pool on the corner of Berawa and Batu Belig bewitches with its eclectic, vintage-gypsy decor and moreish Med bites. From 17th to 25th December, La Laguna will be serving special festive menus (think spiced mussels, whole sea bass), while their New Year’s Eve party is one of the island’s most magical. lalagunabali.com

Ku De Ta

The original Bali beach club is still one of the best with its rouge-hued good looks, loungey vibe and enviable sunset situ attracting the bold and the beautiful year round. Ku De Ta celebrates 25th December with an entire day of merrymaking, including a lavish feast, DJ-spun sounds, and a bunch of kids activities including a visit from Santa that’ll keep nippers entertained as you while the day away. kudeta.com

La Brisa

Cast yourself away at this rough-luxe lair of sun, sea and sustainability in hot-right-now Canggu. Festive season deets at this thatchy, Insta-genic beach club have yet to be announced, but this is one stylish, kid-friendly bunker: expect casual seafood-Med eats, top tipples and alluringly laidback atmos. labrisabali.com

Como Beach Club

New kid on the beach scene (albeit from Bali’s grandmammy of luxe hospitality), the sophisty, Bali-meets-Scandi Como Beach Club adopts the Euro tradition of celebrating Christmas Eve with a special dinner riffing on their signature med-Asian cuisine, plus live music. Although not the most obviously sprog-friendly venue, older children and teens will fit right in. New Year is a similarly stylish affair with a decadent 6-course menu and a glass of Tattinger. comohotels.com/en/umacanggu/dining/como-beach-club
