La Finca, Bali: Jamon Over

Ibiza meets Bali at tapas hotspot La Finca, bringing morsels of the Mediterranean Canggu-side in a chic, alfresco bamboo shack.

Though local Balinese cuisine is an exciting and palate-pleasing adventure, the Indonesian vacay mainstay also has an incredible track record for producing well-executed international fare, just like that on offer at funky fiesta diner La Finca.

In lush, leafy surrounds, Bilbao native chef Asier Arroyo dishes up rustic cuisine that keeps the focus on the fresh – everything is homemade, from the starting basket of breads, to grandma’s citrus cake, to the various housemade sauces to drizzle over the signature hot stone-grilled Aussie ribeye. Pick and choose bite-sized tidbits like crispy mushrooms with paprika aioli and grilled cuttlefish, or settle in with your whole crew for hearty share plates including double roasted pork belly and Basque-style paella (don’t forget to pre-order!). All that’s missing? One (or three) Bali Bonita cocktail with pineapple, lemon basil, lime, and gin. ¡Salud!
