The Best Spots To Check Out During Hong Kong Restaurant Week

Grab your purses and whack on your stretchy slacks: Another Hong Kong Restaurant Week is upon us.

The palate-tingling, twice-yearly event is hitting town tomorrow, and with more than a hundred great value culinary experiences on offer, you'll need a conclusive foodie edit to fork out the best bits. Here's the lowdown of the dining destinations not to be missed...

Among the new entries to 2017's star-studded lineup are big hitters Buenos Aires Polo Club (inspired by the sport of kings and Argentina’s dynamic, steak-grilling culture), Mercato (Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s triple-Mich-starred Italian saucepot) and TokyoLima ( a buzzy, late-night locale firing up fusion Japanese-Peruvian plates).

To sample the full-bodied flaves of the region, check out chic new spot The Chin’s in Central, which teams elegant turquoise, gold and marble decor with Ringo Chow’s classic-meets-contempo, province-hopping Sino bites. Equally scent-sational is Kaum's array of classic Indonesian share plates served up in Sai Ying Pun's new resident dine, drink n' design desti Potato Head, while a more traditional affair awaits at Sushi Tokami in Tsim Sha Tsui, spawned by the Mich-rated Ginza original chef-crafted Edomae.

Alternatively, if Euro eats are more your food-mood, then shimmy straight to Carbone, the Torrisi team’s Italian-American sup spot in LKF Tower, or the fresh and family-style eats at Wan Chai’s sky-high Pirata. Looking to book your food coma in advance? Like the event’s Facebook page for priority reservations starting from February 9. Happy feasting!
