Ullens Center for Contemporary Art
International, not-for-profit art centre inside a renovated factory space, and quite simply one of the best curated spaces in China. Exhibitions, performances, workshops and forums aplenty, plus specially commissioned apparel, accessories, prints and decor in UCCA’s funky shop.

Jing Yaa Tang
Temple House’s dramatic dining hall continues to set pace with its low-key glamour and best-in-town Peking duck. Like a stage set, choose from elevated eating/viewing platforms, intimate corner tables or statement-making central bar. You’re here for the duck, but the fresh, elevated takes on Chinese classics (esp the veg dishes) are as pretty as they are flavoursome. Quacking good – book well ahead.
Lower Ground Level, The Opposite House, Taikoo Li Sanlitun North, No. 11 Sanlitun Road, Chaoyang

Exquisite, Hermès-backed heritage furniture, fashion and accessories brand, founded by contempo East-West fusing design maven Jiang Qiong Er. The mod, star-chitectural space is somehow secondary to the gorgeous porcelain, wood and cashmere merch.
