What We Loved at the Devasom Sol Festival 2025

Rocket yoga, mind trip meditations, aqua sound baths, seaside cinema and forest bathing are just a few of the many activities at the Devasom Sol Festival – an annual luxury wellness event organised by the Devasom Khao Lak Resort in Thailand.

Located just an 80-min drive north of Phuket International Airport, this year’s festival took place from 1-11 May 2025 with Mindfulness, Wellbeing, and Nature as its overarching themes. Open to both staying and external guests of the resort (via day passes), the festival programme had four to six activities per day, along with two delicious restaurants – TAKOLA Thai Restaurant and Devasom Beach Grill – to fuel up in between.

Here are some of the festival highlights:

Sunrise Yoga

Held at 7:30am in the sunlit Devasom Khao Lak tower, the setting was absolutely magical and definitely worth the early wake-up. Through simple stretches and gentle sun salutations, it was the perfect way to start the day… not to mention, stir up that appetite for breakfast.

Kayak Adventures & Forest Bathing

Depending on the tide, which the Devasom Khao Lak staff can advise on, kayaking trips can be either guided or taken at your own leisure through the neighbouring lagoon – a lush and green area to absorb all that green goodness. Deep breaths now…

Yoga & Aqua Sound Bath with Crystal Bowls with Ta Suranart Kasitipradit

Ta’s friendly, quirky and cool demeanor brought just the right amount of energy and calm to his yoga classes. Not to mention, his floating aqua sound baths were just ethereal and other-worldly as participants floated peacefully across Devasom Khao Lak’s oceanfront pool. Ommmm…

Soulful Music & DJ Sets

With his soulful voice and acoustic tunes, Phum Viphurit brought the healing vibes to Khao Lak through his intimate performances on the beach. On other nights, DJs spun relaxing house, soul, funk and global disco music.

Ice Baths and Breathwork by Breath Inspired

Submerging yourself into a tub of ice might sound crazy, but when you realise its multitude of benefits including improved clarity, focus, mental resilience and best of all, brown fat-burning, it’s well worth the chill. During week one of the festival, Breath Inspired brought their giant ice buckets, breathwork techniques and signature Wim Hof Method to Devasom’s shores.

This was just a snippet of what the Devasom Sol Festival had to offer (see all festival activities here) and we can’t wait to see what next year’s festival brings.

The resort itself and Khao Lak worth a visit on its own too – with daily activities like forest bathing, kayaking, yoga and gym classes available on the resort schedule or at your own leisure. Stay tuned for our full resort review coming soon!
