The latest feather in the cap of long-time LUXE fave Praktik Hotels (which also include Praktik Garden, Praktik Rambla and Praktik Metropol), this lovely little boutique honey is Lázaro Rosa Violán’s ode to the humble panadería with clean cottons, wooden panelling, polished white tiles, and the frenzy-inducing aroma of fresh-baked bread throughout.
Smack bang in Gaudí ground zero, the snug, balconied, wired-up rooms won’t burst your purse, although the same can’t be said for what goes on downstairs… You’ll be positively hopping out of the sack once you get a whiff of the heavenly cinnamon bun scent cleverly weaving its way up from the lobby where lives a branch of Barceloneta’s mobbed Baluard Bakery. Atkins be damned, and take me down to breakfast!
