Paris’ Pigalle quartier is still home to the infamous Moulin Rouge, but the southern section of this former red light district, now dubbed SoPi, is where the booming BoBo population has made its new home…
And it’s no surprise that with their arrival, a flurry of chic indie shops and hip haunts followed! At the heart of it all is Le Rocketship, a cafe-boutique owned and personally-curated by Benoit Touche, who left a corporate 9-to-5 to realise his dream of opening a design concept store.
Set foot inside and order up a signature ‘Coutume Coffee’ from the mini bar (they do an ace macchiato), and sip it while Benoit tells you about the story behind each of the pieces on offer, from lighting to tableware, and posters to kids’ togs. Ready, set, blastoff!
