LUXE Checks Into… Andaz One Bangkok

Newly opened in December 2025, Andaz One Bangkok has quickly established itself as one of Bangkok’s new urban sanctuaries overlooking Lumpini Park, giving guests a breath of fresh air with 80 percent of the rooms overlooking the lush park greenery. Stylish and chic, we checked into this “vertical neighborhood” where Thai mid-century modern design meets contemporary art.

Location

Located within One Bangkok, a sprawling, 17-hectare integrated district on historic Wireless Road with over 250 shops, 900+ stores, offices, and cultural venues, Andaz One Bangkok is roughly 30-45 minutes away from Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and Don Mueang (DMK) airports by taxi, depending on traffic.

The hotel is also connected directly to MRT Lumphini Station, putting the city’s key districts within easy reach—for instance, Chinatown is about 20 minutes away by train.

Checking in

Andaz One Bangkok Lobby_02

Upon arrival, we were whisked up to the reception floor to enter one of the most beautiful hotel lobbies we’ve seen in a while. Bold and colourful, the open-format lobby is framed by a giant textile art installation by local artist, Ploenchan (Mook) Vinyaratn, which was made from upcycled yarns and hand-tufted carpet to represent the chaotic ‘wires’ of the Wireless Road neighbourhood.

There is also a vintage wooden Steinway piano (for decorative purposes only), next to the 24/7 Andaz Lounge, which serves as a social space for hotel guests to lounge or work from.

LUXE tip: Don’t just look at Lumphini Park; go explore it. Join the locals for a dawn jog or rent a swan boat on the lake. And watch out for those monitor lizards…

Rooms and suites

Forget stuffy tradition. Andaz One Bangkok, designed by Thai firm PIA Interior, is conceived as a “Vertical Neighborhood,” meaning the 244 rooms and suites—ranging from a spacious 38 square metres to the 197-square-metre Presidential Suite—feel less like standard boxes and more like chic, mid-century modern apartments in the sky. Think curved ceilings, arched doorways, and a warm palette of marble, brass, and blond wood, all accented with local art and textiles.

We settled into a room overlooking Lumphini Park and the view was absolutely stellar. About 80 percent of the accommodations are angled to capture the park panorama, with clever L-shaped layouts in some suites offering dual-aspect vistas.

The tech is seamless and discreet, the king-sized bed was plush, and the marble bathroom was a highlight—featuring a walk-in rain shower (with the shower knobs on the opposite of the shower head—pure genius), a deep soaking tub, and full-sized Byredo Eleventh Hour bath amenities . A complimentary non-alcoholic minibar stocked with local treats like Thai milk tea and mango candy was a nice touch.

Dining

The culinary scene at Andaz One Bangkok is designed for exploration, mirroring the hotel’s “neighborhood” concept. Start your day at Andaz Terrace, an all-day spot with alfresco seating that lets you soak in the park views over a la carte items like the XO Thai omelette and fish congee—alongside a vast breakfast buffet that extends into Jing.

For lunch or dinner, Jǐng transforms back into a modern Chinese restaurant focusing on Cantonese and Sichuan cuisine, with an open kitchen turning out perfectly roasted honey-glazed char siu and aromatic, double-boiled soups. Presented in modern ceramics, we can attest that the flavours (and spice levels) are authentic.

As dusk falls, head up to the 23rd floor for Piscari. This Mediterranean seafood grill has a distinct “supper club” vibe, with an open kitchen, a DJ spinning tunes, and a small, breezy terrace perfect for sunset. The cocktails are frosty and the Wagyu beef koftas are not to be missed.

LUXE tip: At Piscari, ask your server to point you to the speakeasy bar tucked away behind the kitchen hatch. It’s the perfect spot for a late-night cocktail away from the crowd.

Wellness

We loved chilling at the seventh-floor outdoor infinity pool, which seems to stretch out towards the canopy of Lumphini Park. It’s a serene spot for a few laps or just floating around while watching the sky change colours as night falls.

The 24-hour fitness centre is also well-equipped with modern gear for those who like to keep up their routine. And while there’s no spa, the hotel does offers a sauna and steam room for some well-earned R&R.

LUXE tip: Time your swim for late afternoon. The way the light filters through the park’s trees as the sun begins to set over the city is pure magic .

Verdict

Bold and chic, our stay at Andaz One Bangkok was not only relaxing, but inspiring as well. Every detail reflected its thoughtful and stylish design—even the flowy staff uniforms in rich gemstone shades were catwalk-worthy. Combined with its world-class location in One Bangkok, it’s the perfect base for city explorers who want to experience a stay parkside.

LUXE tip: Don’t miss the daily sunset social hour at the 24-hour Andaz Lounge next to the reception for complimentary drinks. And for nightlife fans, be sure to check out the hottest new Bangkok rooftop bars nearby – The Norm and Aether.
