Boeung Keng Kang Three (BKK3) is a Phnom Penh nabe that offers visitors a real taste of Cambodia. Alive with laughter and chatter, its network of narrow roads is home to shophouses and colourful street vendors worth a wander. Here are some of the best spots to visit after exploring one of the capital’s most-visited tourist attractions.

A. Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum

Start your walk with a sobering history lesson – this former school was transformed into a prison and torture camp during the Pol Pot-led regime of 1975 to 1979. Known as Security Prison 21, it held an estimated 20,000 prisoners, of which only seven survived.
