MOVE AROUND KENNEDY TOWN, HONG KONG

Distance: 4 km

Laidback yet lively, K-town is full of scenic spots to wander around, with plenty of spots to refuel in between. Spend a day strolling from East to West, and don’t forget to take snaps along the way…

A. Instagram Pier (Western District PCWA, Sai Wan)

Start your day at the Western District Public Cargo Working Area (PCWA), now better known as Instagram Pier. The former cargo dock has traded containers that serve as a colourful backdrop for dog walkers, influencers, and doggo influencers for that “Instagram aesthetic”. Tip: come for golden hour money shots of Hong Kong’s iconic skyline.

Sai Wan, 15-minute walk from HKU MTR Station Exit B2, open 24 hours.

B. Catch.

Nestle into this natty neighbourhood nook for awesome Aussie-style brunches that prove smashed avo is far from over-cado, or slip to chic older sib Catch Next Door for a crafty gargle.93 Catchick Street, Kennedy Town, +852 2855 1289, 12pm-3pm & 5pm-10.30pm Mon,Tue,Thu, 12pm-3pm & 6pm-10.30pm Fri, 9am-4.15pm & 6pm-10.30pm Sat & Sun, catch.hk

F. Sai Wan Swimming Shed

Take a dip, if you dare, from the last remaining swimming shed in Hong Kong. Dating back to the 1950s, this iconic open-swimming locale has since been discovered by the camera-totin’ IG crowd, so prepare to elbow your way through to get the best view of the sunset.

Victoria Road, Mount Davis, 16-minute walk from Kennedy Town MTR Station Exit C, open 24 hours.

G. Little Creatures

End your day at this cavernous seaside vault repping gastro-pub plates and signature ales (duh!) brewed on-site. It’s a massive space for HK but still best to book ahead on weekends.
