Where are you originally from?
I was born and raised in Argos, a city in the Peloponnese, in the southern part of Greece. Argos was one of the most important centres of Mycenaean Civilisation and is considered the oldest city in Europe.
After I finished school, I moved to Athens to study acting and about 10 years ago, I started working in photography and theatre at the same time.
What has been your best trip ever?
My best trip was to Guatemala. I was a guest of the country’s tourism organisation along with 10 other photographers from around the world on a road trip. We entered jungles, climbed volcanoes, baked marshmallows on lava and visited the archaeological sites of the pre-Columbian Maya civilization. It was a fantastic experience.

Your favourite place in the entire world?
There are so many places I have visited and many more that I have not traveled yet. Italy will always be in my heart, not only for its beauty, but also because I have lived unique moments with my very dear people.
What’s on your bucket list?
Iceland, Vietnam, and many of the Greek islands I have not had time to visit.
Your favourite travel buddy?
My roommate, George, and my sister, Lia.
Pick three of your favourite travel pics and tell us the stories behind them:
I took these photos on the ship to Santorini – on one side was the child and on the other, the old gentleman. The boy was so happy and surprised by everything he saw. The old man was very tired, lost in thought and blinded by the strong sun. It was the beginning and the end of life at the same time.
This one is from Koufonisi island: a girl who suddenly started dancing in front of the sea.
Best tips for taking great travel pictures?
Chase the light early in the morning and late in the afternoon. And avoid crowded and trendy places.
Your top three places in Athens and why?
The Athens riviera because I love the sea and sun; Tatoi Royal Palace, the summer palace of the former Greek Royal Family because I love abandoned places; and the center of Athens for street photography.
