Leblon is not only home to one of the most scene-tastic stretches of sand in this city, but also Rio’s most upmarket shopping precinct.
The absolute best bits are, however, hidden away behind unassuming facades – take the converted residential complex Palm Beach, a secret so well-kept that only the most stylish locals know of the heavenly shopportunity that lies in wait.
Don’t be put off by closed doors – a gentle knock will gain you access to some of Brazil’s top ateliers, including Adriana Barra (pictured) with dresses and fabrics in vibrant prints; Jenessequa for high-styley athletic and loungewear; and Village Vintage for pre-loved bags and accessories from Chanel, Proenza Schouler et al., plus own-brand sequined party frocks. There’s much more yet, but don’t miss a chance to caress the Tibetan-inspired fabrics and carpets at Square Foot by Lina Miranda. Super shopper!
