With more than 2,000 clicks on her odometer, London is one ageing beauty with many a tale to tell, and thankfully, unlike a few of her international counterparts (we’re looking at you, Shanghai), this dolly could hardly be accused of booting out the old and intriguing in favour of the new.
But, there comes a time we all need a spruce up, and London’s history-steeped skyline got a darn glitzy one when the futuristic, Renzo Piano-designed Shard skyscraper came to town, complete with the swanky Shangri-la London taking up residence on the 34th to 52nd floors.
