What’s New In Macau: The Londoner, teamLab & Harry Potter Exhibition

Macau might be known as the “Vegas of the East”, but it actually has much more than gambling to offer. Whether you’re after a kitschy experience at one of its Euro-themed hotels (The Venetian, The Parisian, and now The Londoner – what’s next?), looking for new photo spots or simply hungry for new flavours, here are three reasons to (re)visit Macau.

The Londoner, Macau

Opened in phases since 2021, The Londoner finally celebrated its grand opening post-pandemic with none other than David Beckham in Macau, along with surprise performances by world-renowned pianist Lang Lang and Chinese songstress G.E.M. at the packed 6,000-seat Londoner Arena.

The all-suite hotel includes 14 exclusive ‘Suites by David Beckham’ located on the hotel’s top two floors, designed by London interior design firm David Collins Studio and personal touches by Beckham himself.

Besides the Beckham suites, plenty of photo opps await at The Londoner Macau, with OTT replicas of the Big Ben, a double-decker bus and London cabs dotted around the hotel – plus a new and rather cheesy “Changing of the Guard” ceremony several times a day.

Churchill’s Table serves excellent British fare, from bangers and mash in the morning alongside fresh pastries, congee, sushi and more, while North Palace dishes up the best of Northern Chinese cuisine (think hand-pulled noodles, Peking duck, roast lamb and freshly baked flat breads from Xinjiang).

LUXE tip: Feeling fancy? Splash out for a room at The Londoner Court, a separate hotel altogether in The Londoner complex with 368 suites, all of which come with butler service, gourmet F&B, plus in-room massage and gym facilities.
